Police have still not identified individual who flooded local family's living room while out of town

UTAH-Police have yet to identify the man responsible for flooding a local family's living room while they were out of town. The Erickson family returned home late Sunday afternoon from a weekend trip to find their living room completely flooded with water.

"I'm just glad he didn't steal anything too," said Mr. Erickson.

Authorities are still trying to figure out how the crime was committed. Did he open the windows during a downpour? remove shingles to let rainwater seep through? Freeze the pipes until they burst?

Further investigation revealed signs of a second break in: police believe another individual created cracks in the foundation of the 100 year old home, causing uneven floors and misaligned windows and doors.

The investigation remains ongoing and local law enforcement has called for a shelter in place.
