JACKSONVILLE, FL-It’s not cool now, but it used to be. On this day, almost 200 years ago, a woman littered in Jacksonville Florida. She was the first person to do it. She was seen as creative and progressive. Littering caught on, and it was a way cool thing to do. Everyone was doing it.

“I used to litter all the time,” says very old person Lexy Osmond. Back in those days, it was cool. I had to do it to make friends. Looking back, I can’t believe I littered that much. I must have littered 46,000 lbs of litter on the roads in a single year.”
