Salt Lake City, Utah- A recent study done at the University of Utah Health and Science Department shows the devastating results that florists are 3 times more likely than a normal person to get seriously injured in a floral arranging accident.

"The data collected was earth shattering-nearly every florist surveyed had gotten into some sort of accident while floral arranging, while only a few normal people had experienced any accidents. The data was irrefutable. We plan to extend our study, looking into possible reasons for this. One of my colleagues believes the results come from the fact that florists are floral arranging as a profession, so more time for accidents."

"I've been a normal person all my life", says Donny, one of the normal people they surveyed. "I try to tell florists, "you're in danger! you're in danger!", but, before you know it, they've accidentally poked themselves with a thorn or slipped on a leaf. It's a dangerous job."

This 5 year study has opened the eyes of many normal people, pushing them to reach out to florists, make sure they're during okay, and urge them to go back to school and try being a normal person again.

"It's interesting that normal people (doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc.) have significantly lower levels of getting injured while floral arranging. We have funding from the university and plan to extend this study at least a couple years to see why, exactly, florists keep getting injured, and why they're so bad at their job. We are currently working on studying a group of normal people (lawyers, doctors, teachers, etc.) and having them try floral arranging and see what happens. Maybe they should be florists, because they hardly get injured. They're better at it."

Not sure if you're a florist or a normal person? Well, here's the biggest sign you're a florist: you've gotten yourself into a floral arranging accident. Stay safe out there. Maybe, we should just leave it to the normal people to do the floral arranging, since florists can't help but get injured.
