Mesa, AZ-A study conducted at Mesa Community College showed that it's better to count sheep during the day, after you've gotten a good night's sleep.
This study led by Dr. Todd Morgan studied the accuracy of 100 students counting sheep during the day, vs. late at night while they were trying to go to sleep. "This study shatters the theory that it's best to count sheep right before bed. Participants, while trying to count sheep right before bed, were much more tired. It was dark and they had a harder time seeing the sheep. 80% of our participants actually fell asleep while counting sheep right before bed."
"In contrast, participants counted sheep at 98% accuracy, at almost twice the speed. These results will change how we count sheep forever."
